Bowling Ball Beach from the Bluffs above
There are two routes to Bowling Ball Beach. The official one starts at Schooner Gulch and glimbs over a grassy bluff before descending to the beach. One of the good things about this route is that one is rewarded with glorious views, such as this one, up and down the coast. The not-so-good thing about this route is that the trail is washed out where it hits the beach, necessitating a bit of scrambling.
The easier route is half a mile north, at a wide parking area by the highway with a callbox, where a trail follows a little creek to the beach north of the bowling balls.
